60% Carignan
40% Syrah

“Stok-by-paaltjie” Syrah and trellised Carignan from the slopes of the Olifantsberg mountains on the Apiesklip road in the Breedekloof. Dry-farmed with very low yields to maximise flavour and complexity. The grapes were harvested earlier to preserve acidity and aroma.

A fruit-forward wine with a richness and creamy texture due to the time on lees. The palate is dry, but has abundance of red berry fruit and cherry notes from the Carignan. Syrah adds structure and balance. This wine is made to enjoy now, but will age for a few more years.
