Our Story

Francois Anton Bezuidenhout was born in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, in 1983.

On completing his tertiary qualification in 2005 at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, with a B.Sc. degree in Agriculture focusing on Viticulture and Oenology, Francois’s international scope of knowledge was obtained by various industry positions in a number of countries, including Germany, the USA and New Zealand.

Upon his return to South Africa he continued his learnings of winemaking and blending in the Cape Winelands.

In 2014, Francois qualified as a Cape Wine Master as part of the prestigious Institute of Cape Winemasters.

Today, he owns the Bezuidenhout Family Wine portfolio and has recently taken a broader approach to the wine and spirits industry as he established Bezuidenhout Family Wines.
